Laws of any modifications to the vehicle before and after registration has been prescribed under Section (12) Road Transport Act 1987


TYPE MODIFICATION SHOULD prior approval FROM RTD

If the modification and installation of additional equipment can result in major changes to the shape, size, stability and security and features the original motor vehicle, written permission must be obtained beforehand from the RTD. For example: --


i. Modifications to the framework and the network or order a monocoque vehicle
ii. Alteration to the form or features of the original vehicle
iii. Alteration of the saloon car to car convertible
iv. Alteration to the fuel system
v. Alteration to the brake system
vi. Alteration to the steering system
vii.Changing the wheel base vehicles
